International networking

The SMKS Unit contributes to strengthening the Foundation’s network of contacts by developing new international relations with public agencies, public and private companies, research centers and universities that can generate opportunities for collaboration and exploitation of the Foundation’s research results.

In particular, the SMKS Unit, also in close collaboration with the PAT offices in Brussels, is committed to developing synergies on research and innovation in order to identify new opportunities for participation in European consortia.

The SMKS Unit involves the Foundation in initiatives organized within the European networks in which the PAT participates (eg ERRIN) and aimed at the discussion of proposals for European projects and the construction of international partnerships. It interfaces with the territorial representations in Brussels and with the ministry’s scientific attachés to monitor the EU and international initiatives under way or under definition.
